This weekend we had our first race after a 2 year break (thanks Covid). For many this was their first ever race and boy did the weather treat us to a good start to our regatta season.
With all senior performance crews making it into A finals and with so many crews being entered by the Intermediate squad. The Novices smashed it, with the women’s 8+ coming 2nd in the A final only losing to a senior crew. Both the Novice’s single and double showed impressive courage tackling small boats for their first race and improving as the day went on placing higher in finals than their time trial position. The novice Men 8+ made the Intermediate Men 8+ work hard as they weren’t far behind them.
Massive thank you to Cross Keys Garage in Morley who provided us with the superb Isuzu D-Max that made light work of towing our big trailer for Peterborough Regatta this weekend.
Couldn’t be left unmentioned the amazing work Georgia Hall did this weekend!
Huge well done to everyone and on to Durham regatta next to get some pots.
