Welcome 2019

If you have come and found us at the Sports Fair in the Edge or just from our social media there are lots of ways to get involved with the club.

A bit about us

We are inclusive - we turn no one away

We are diverse - if you want to row socially or high performance we can accomodate all

We are professional - Supported by a full time head coach, part time coaching intern, 4 coaching scholars and external support from GB rowing

We are social - a mixed gender club with socials throughout the year, no one has to drink but we'll guide you safely if you do.

No previous experience required - the majority of our members learn to row with us

First sessions

Monday 30th September - Welcome Meeting and Circuits. Packhorse pub at 5pm, space to secure your bags, we'll do an outdoor circuit, then return to tell you all about the club. Whatever level of fitness you are don't worry, you wont get left behind.

Wednesday 2nd October - Varsity 2019, come and support us in cromer terrace 2-4pm then after the club will go and watch the rugby finals in Headingly.

Thursday 3rd October - Circuits - this one happens every week. 6:30pm in Cromer terrace, warm-up run followed by conditioning and core in the hall 7-8pm.

Saturday 5th October onwards - Get on the water - you don't have to pay membership until you've been on the water and enjoyed it. Details of getting on the water is on separate squad groups below.

Performance novice testing - in conjunction with British Rowing

If you aspire to rowing at a high level we can help you do it. For the last 4 years our novices have one BUCS medals and one of our athletes has even defeated the reigning double Olympic champion on his pathway to sucess.

We have a performance testing to get into this high performance group. If you miss out dont worry, opportunity to progress at a later point and still can compete if you want.

Testing is in Cromer Terrace, just come along to one of the sessions available (Sat 5th Oct 5:30pm, Sun 6th Oct, 1-2pm, Mon 7th Oct 7-8am)
