York Small Boats Head

What a way to kick off our head season. After nearly two years with no head races this was a lot of peoples first ever head race.

From our Senior Performance and Senior Intermediates squads we entered 10 crews into different divisions, with an overly successful day.

The Senior Performance Women entered a double that came second in their band and would have come second in the band above as well. They entered a quad which came 4th and two singles were entered that came 3rd and 4th in their respective bands. The Senior Performance Men entered a coxed four that came 4th and a double that also came 4th.

The Senior Intermediate squad took the coxed four category by storm by entering 3 women’s coxed four and a men's coxed four. The women placed 2nd and 6th in band 2, and 8th in band 3. The men’s coxed four came 8th in a very competitive band

Special mention to our START squad who were the fastest female quad, brining home the pots.

A massive thank you to Cross Keys Garage for providing us with the brand new model of the Isuzu d-max which has made towing a smooth process. Their support is greatly appreciated.

Our next race is Rutherford Head where the Senior Performance crews will be racing.
